EASY AND QUICK PICKLES 
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 c. water
1 c. cider vinegar
Sm. cucumbers or lg. pickles

Slice cucumbers and fill quart jars. Add 1 teaspoon salt to each quart. Boil sugar, turmeric, water and vinegar. Pour over sliced pickles in jar. Seal and process 7 minutes. This syrup makes 3 quarts. Cucumbers should be sliced thin.
