FREEZER BISCUITS 
5 c. flour (plain)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shortening
1 pack yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. melted butter

Mix flour, salt, soda, sugar and baking powder together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add buttermilk. Add buttermilk mixture to flour mixture all at once. Stir until dough follows fork around bowl.

Turn onto floured surface. Knead for 30 seconds. Roll out 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Freeze on baking sheet. Remove to plastic bag. Dip in melted butter. Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake 45 minutes for 12-15 minutes.
