2 sticks butter 1 c. white sugar 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. chopped nuts 1 box brown sugar (2 1/3 c.) 4 egg yolks 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt Melt butter then add both brown and white sugar. Cream. Add egg yolks. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to the butter mixture. Fold in nuts and vanilla. Beat egg whites and fold into mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes in a 9x13 pan. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Cut into small squares. |
