OKRA PICKLES 
3 1/2 lbs. sm. okra pods
1/3 c. salt
3 sm. hot peppers
2 tsp. dill seed
1 garlic bud
1 qt. water
1 pt. vinegar

Pack okra firmly into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Put a garlic bud in each jar. Pour boiling brine to cover, leaving head space. Remove air bubbles. Adjust caps. Process ten minutes in boiling water bath. Yield: About 4 to 5 pints.
