OKRA PICKLES 
3 lbs. sm. whole okra
6 sprigs dill or 3 tsp. dried or dill seed
6 cloves garlic
Celery leaves
1/4 c. coarse salt
4 c. vinegar
4 c. water

Wash okra and pack into hot sterilized jars. Place sprig or dried dill, a clove of garlic and several celery leaves in each jar. Heat salt, vinegar and water to boiling in large heavy saucepan. Simmer 10 minutes. Pour hot liquid over okra to 1/2 inch of top. Seal jars immediately. Cook in hot water bath for 15 minutes. Makes six jars, pint size. Very good.
