TERRY MOONS CHILI | |
3 lbs. ground beef 2 onions, chopped 1 tbsp. chili powder (more if wanted) 1 lg. can tomato puree 1 lg. can crushed tomatoes 1 lg. can tomato paste 1 can water (from paste can) 1/2 c. Pace picante sauce 2 cans dark red kidney beans 2 cans kidney beans 1 tbsp. sugar Brown meat and onions. Drain fat. Stir in chili powder. Add all tomato products, sugar, and water. Simmer for 2-3 hours. Drain kidney beans and rinse well. Add to chili. Simmer until beans are heated. Serve with grated cheese, oyster crackers, extra picante sauce, and rice. Cornbread makes a nice accompaniment. Applesauce Jello is a good salad. |
