CHOW CHOW 
4 c. onions, chopped
4 c. green peppers, chopped
4 c. cabbage, chopped
5 c. green tomatoes, chopped
2 1/2 - 3 c. red pepper, chopped
1/2 c. salt
6 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 tbsp. mustard seed
4 c. cider vinegar
2 c. water

Mix onions, green peppers, cabbage, green tomatoes, red pepper and salt; set stand overnight. Next morning, squeeze vegetables from juice. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over first mixture and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes and pack into hot sterile jars and seal.
