THIS AND THAT RELISH 
2 c. shredded cabbage
2 or 3 chopped green tomatoes
2 med. sliced onions
1 med. red or green pepper, seeded and chopped
1 med. cucumber, sliced thin
3/4 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper (optional)

In a large saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Pour into hot sterilized jars, seal and cool. Store in refrigerator. Makes about 2 pints.
