1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2 pkg. instant pudding (vanilla or chocolate)
3 c. milk
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 c. Cool Whip

Mix the flour, nuts and butter and press into an 8x8 inch pan; bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

Cream the cream cheese, add the sugar and 1 cup of Cool Whip and spread on top of the cooled crust above. Mix the instant pudding and milk until thick and spread over layer 2 above.

Spread 1 cup of Cool Whip on top of layer 3 and refrigerate for 2 hours. Shaved sweet chocolate may be spread on top, if desired.
