LORENE'S "FEATHER LITE" DINNER
ROLLS
 
1 c. scalded milk
1 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 tbsp. sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 or 3 sticks melted butter

Remove scalded milk from heat. Add butter, sugar and salt. Stir yeast and sugar into warm water and mix well. Add to milk mixture, then add eggs and mix well. Sift flour into large mixing bowl; beat in milk mixture on low speed of mixer until well blended.

Turn out dough on well floured board and knead for about 2 minutes (dough will be very thin). Place into well buttered bowl and allow to rise until doubled in size. Shape into roll size balls. Dip rolls into melted butter and place in ungreased pan. Let rise to double size and bake at 425 degrees until golden brown. Makes approximately 3 dozen.
