PECAN PIE 
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. corn syrup, light or dark
1 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1 9" pie crust, unbaked

Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in the other ingredients and mix slightly. Pour mixture into a pie crust.

Bake using metal pan, 450 degrees for 10 minutes, reduce to 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Using glass pan, reduce temperatures 25 degrees, keep time the same. Serve warm or cold with or without whipped cream.
