PHYLLIS'S LIGHT (NO FAT) PASTA
SAUCE
 
1 lg. onion
2 cloves garlic
2 beef bouillon
2 c. water
1 lg. can crushed tomatoes
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste plus 2 cans of water
1 tbsp. basil or more, dried or fresh
1 tsp. salt
Ground pepper

Start with water added to bouillon cubes, chopped onion and garlic. Simmer until onions and garlic are tender. Add crushed tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper and cook for 30 minutes. Add tomato paste and water to your desired thickness of sauce and cook for 30 minutes or more until done.
