4 c. diced apples
2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. crushed walnuts
1 c. raisins
2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

First put apples into sugar in large bowl and let stand for 1/2 hour. Mix well. Add oil, well beaten eggs, vanilla, walnuts and raisins. Add flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Grease a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Makes a very good cake. Serve with ice cream or can be frosted with brown sugar icing.
