MEMAW'S ICING (FOR CHOCOLATE
CAKE)
 
2 egg whites
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. light corn syrup

Beat egg whites and salt in a small bowl until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until soft peaks form. Microwave corn syrup 2 minutes or until boiling. Slowly pour thin stream over egg white, beating until stiff and glossy. Beat in vanilla. Frost cake.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
