CANDY-CANE COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. quick oats

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add. Then add oats. Chill. Shape dough into candy canes (or other shapes). Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Frost with colored icing. (4 dozen).
