APPLE AND SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE 
3 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 c. sliced peeled apples
3 c. miniature marshmallows
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
chopped nuts, optional
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. butter

Place sweet potatoes in buttered baking dish. Add apples; layer with marshmallows. Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle over marshmallows. Mix cornstarch with 1/2 c. water until smooth; pour over all. Dot with butter. Cover. May make several days ahead; cover tightly and refrigerate.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Yield: 6 servings.
