MAPLE GLAZED APPLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. ground coriander (optional)
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. milk
2 c. chopped fresh apples

Cream together butter and brown sugar. Add salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ground coriander and egg, blend well. Stir in flour, baking soda and milk until well blended. Stir in chopped apples. Drop by small spoonful unto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until cookies are firm when touched, but not overly browned.

GLAZE:

1 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
1 to 3 tbsp. milk

Meanwhile stir together the glaze. Stir together melted butter, powdered sugar, maple flavoring and milk to make a smooth glaze. Dot the top of each cookie with about 1/2 teaspoon of glaze. Cool. Allow glaze to set before storing in an airtight container.
