MEXICAN LASAGNA 
1 lb. hamburger
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. cumin
6-8 tsp. chili powder
1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) pkg. 10-inch flour tortillas, cut in half
3 c. shredded lettuce
1 1/2 c. Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese

CHILI MIXTURE:

Brown hamburger, onions, garlic and chili powder. Drain. Add tomatoes and cumin and simmer 20 minutes.

Spoon 1 cup chili mixture into bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Put 4 tortillas to cover. Spoon half of remaining chili over tortillas. Cover with 3 tortillas. Sprinkle with lettuce and cheese. Spoon on remaining chili. Cover with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes. Serves 8.

Garnish with any of the following: lettuce, cheese, salsa, tomatoes or sour cream.
