PORK CHOP CASSEROLE I 
6 pork chops
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
1 c. water
4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 medium onion, chopped

Wipe chops; brown them in a little oil in frying pan. Place chops in a large casserole; sprinkle with half the salt and pepper. Place apples and sweet potatoes in layers on chops and sprinkle with remaining salt and pepper. Sauté onion in the same frying pan where chops were browned. Add water and Worcestershire sauce. Mix and pour over chops, apples and potatoes. Cover and bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours in a moderate 375°F oven.
