CHOCOLATE CHERRY BAR CAKE 
1 pkg. devils food cake mix
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
5 tbsp. butter
1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 15 x 10 or 13 x 9 inch pan. In large bowl combine base ingredients. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into pan. Bake 15 x 10 inch pan for 20 to 30 minutes; 13 x 9 inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes.

In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over warm bars.
