CHERRY-NUT CHOCOLATE BALLS 
1 lb. box powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. soft butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. walnuts, finely chopped
1 sm. jar cherries, chopped

Mix together with hands, make small balls (1/2 inch diameter) and chill or freeze. Melt 1 (12 oz.) package chocolate chips in heavy saucepan with 3 inch piece of paraffin. Melt together and keep warm. Dip cherry balls in chocolate mixture (can use toothpicks to hold) and place on wax paper. (The colder and harder the cherry balls are the better). These freeze well.
