PEAR HONEY 
1/2 bushel pears

Peel and core pears. Grind pears in food grinder or coarsely chop in a food processor.

Mix same amount of sugar as pears.

Add:

1 can crushed pineapple, juice and all

Cook until tender or cook down to about half of the contents, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Sterilize jars and pack hot pear honey into clean jars and seal. Process in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes.

Note: This must be stirred quite often to keep from sticking and scorching. This can be done in a slow cooker, but it will take longer.
