ITALIAN MACARONI AND CHEESE 
1 lb. ground chuck
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1/3 c. tomato paste
1 tbsp. minced onion
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
Dash pepper
2 c. cooked shell macaroni
1 c. cottage cheese
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Cook meat until browned; drain. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, and water; stir in sugar, garlic salt, oregano, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Put a little meat sauce in bottom of 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.

Top with half the macaroni mixture, half the cheddar cheese, and half the remaining meat sauce. Repeat layers, ending with sauce. Sprinkle Parmesan on top. Bake at 325 degrees for about 40 minutes.
