OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD BEEF
STROGANOFF
 
1 1/2 lb. sirloin tip steak
1 c. onions, chopped
1 can sliced water chestnuts, with liquid
1 can tomato soup, undiluted
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed or 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
15-20 drops Tabasco sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste

Cut meat in small pieces 1/8 inch thick (cuts better if slightly frozen) and brown in 2 tablespoons fat. Add onions, tomato soup, sour cream, chestnuts, and seasonings. Simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender. STIR OFTEN. Add flour and water paste to make as thick as you prefer. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 4-6.
