HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
1 stick butter
1 c. milk

Beat eggs until creamy; add sugar. Sift flour and baking powder together; add to sugar mixture. Add vanilla; beat well. Melt butter in milk in saucepan. Bring to boil; add to flour mixture. Mix thoroughly. Pour into ungreased tube pan rinsed with cold water. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Yield: 24 servings.
