ALMOND - HONEY BREAD 
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 c. soft shortening
4 1/2 c. sifted flour

TOPPING:

6 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. honey
6 tbsp. cream
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Scald milk; add sugar and salt to dissolve. Cool to lukewarm. Soften yeast in the warm water; let rest for 5 minutes. Add to milk. Stir in beaten eggs, flavoring and half the flour. Beat well. Add remaining flour; mix well. Knead until smooth. Put in greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down. Let rise again. Put in greased 9 x 13 pan or 3 loaf pans. Mix together the topping ingredients and boil for 10 minutes. Let cool. Pour over dough in pans. Let rise about 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes.
