BEEF GROUND STEAK, MARSALA | |
2 lbs. extra lean ground beef Salt & pepper to taste 1 c. sliced onion 1 lb. mushrooms, sliced 1 c. dry Marsala About 30 minutes before serving: On waxed paper, shape ground beef into 8 oval patties; sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. In 12" skillet over medium heat, cook patties and onion until patties are browned on both sides, about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms, Marsala and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Reduce heat to low and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, and turning patties once. To serve, pour sauce over patties. Yield: 8 servings. |
