CHEESE SQUARES 
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
dash of cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
1 c. flour
1/4 c. nuts
1/2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, brown sugar and flour; stir in nuts, then set aside 1/2 cup. Press remainder in 8 x 8-inch pan and bake in preheated 350°F oven for 12 minutes.

Blend sugar and cream cheese. Add milk, egg, juice and vanilla, beating well. Spread over crust. Sprinkle with the crumb mixture (set aside).

Bake 25 minutes in the 350°F oven.
