12 oz. pkg. Toll House morsels 12 oz. pkg. butterscotch morsels 2 c. peanut butter 1 c. butter, softened 1/4 c. Watkins vanilla dessert mix 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. Watkins maple flavor 1 tsp. Watkins vanilla 1 lb. Spanish peanuts 2 lb. powdered sugar Combine the chips and peanut butter in the top of a double boiler and melt. Stir until well blended. Spread half the mixture in a lightly greased jelly roll pan. Chill to harden. Add the peanuts to remaining mixture. Combine butter, dessert mix and milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Add flavors and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth with electric mixer. Spread over chilled chocolate layer. Chill. Top with remainder of chocolate. Chill again. Cut in 1 inch pieces. Yield approximately 96 pieces. |
