AUNT PAULINE'S SUET PUDDING 
1 good cup of suet
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped dates
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. butter milk

Grind suet and measure. Mix dry ingredients and suet with hands. Add fruit. Then put in butter milk and mix well with a knife. Shape in a ball. Put in cloth and tie at top. Set on plate in a pan of hot water. Boil 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Remove from cloth and slice. Serve with a sweet sauce. Any left over may be sliced and fried in butter.
