CORN AND CHEESE SOUP 
8 slices bacon, diced
1 sm. onion
2 c. diced potatoes, cooked
2 cans cream style corn
2 1/2 c. water
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2/3 c. canned milk
8 to 10 slices American cheese

Cook bacon and onion until brown. Drain off grease except 1 tablespoon. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 15 minutes. Add 2/3 cup canned milk and 8 to 10 slices American cheese.

Simmer until cheese melts. Serve with garlic toast.
