GAYLE'S SNOW BALLS 
These are always a big hit at Christmas! They store well in a cookie tin, or freeze.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup ground pecans
1 cup all-purpose flour
confectioners' sugar, for rolling

Preheat oven to 300°F.

Cream butter, add sugar and beat. Add vanilla and beat. Stir in nuts, then stir in flour. Roll into small balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300°F for 45 minutes.

Roll in confectioners' sugar while still hot. Reroll when cold.
