PUMPKIN LOAF 
3 c. flour
1 egg
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. sugar
1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. chopped nuts

Beat all ingredients until well mixed. Pour into a well greased loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven about 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes. Before removing from pan, spread with glaze.

BROWNED BUTTER GLAZE:

Heat 1/4 cup butter in saucepan over medium heat until delicate brown. Remove from heat. Mix in 1 cup of powdered sugar. Stir in 2-4 tablespoons hot water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency.
