COFFEE LIQUEUR 
4 c. water
4 c. sugar
1 qt. bourbon
2 oz. instant coffee
1 vanilla bean or 1 tbsp. vanilla

Bring water to a boil, add sugar, stir to dissolve. Let simmer, NO BOILING. Add 2 oz. instant coffee and vanilla. Pour bourbon into gallon jar, and coffee and sugar mixture. Let set for at least a month.

NOTE: Coffee can be substituted for any other flavors even fruits, pureed and drained.
