CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD 
2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed ripe banana (about 3 sm.)
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate mini chips
1/2 c. walnuts

Grease bottom only of a 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch loaf pan. Set aside. Combine all ingredients except mini chips and walnuts in large mixer bowl, blend well on medium speed. Stir in mini chips and walnuts. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. 1 loaf.
