1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 2 c. buttermilk 2 tsp. baking soda 6 eggs 4 c. flour 1 tsp. each cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla 1 box seedless raisins 1 sm. can crushed pineapple 2 c. blackberry jam 1 c. peach preserves 1 c. pecan pieces Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Sift spices and flour together; add soda to buttermilk. Alternate dry ingredients and buttermilk; mix in other ingredients, adding jam last. Bake about 1 hour in a 325 degree oven. Bake in 3 (8") round pans, greased and floured. ICING: 1 tbsp. white Karo syrup 4 c. sugar 1 c. milk 3/4 c. butter 2 tbsp. vanilla |
