WINE CHICKEN 
2 (2 to 4) lb. whole frying chickens
1/2 c. wine (Rhine, Chablis or Rose)
1/2 c. soy sauce
2 lg. onions

Wash and lightly salt chickens. Place in roasting pan. Cover with sliced onions. Pour wine and soy sauce over chicken and onions. Cover pan; roast at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Uncover, roast 1/2 hour basting frequently until golden brown and crisp. May be used for pheasant or Cornish hens. Serves 6 to 10.
