1/2 c. spray or Crisco 1/4 c. sugar 1 egg yolk (set white aside) 1 c. sifted flour Nuts (walnuts or pecans) Jam (raspberry, apricot, pineapple) Mix all ingredients except egg white and nuts until a soft and easy to handle dough is formed. Form dough into small balls. Beat egg white and 1 teaspoon water lightly. Dip balls into egg white and then into nuts. Grease cookie sheet and put cookies on sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove and with a thimble make an impression in the cookie. Put back in oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown. When cool, put jam in center. |
