COOKIES WHILE YOU SLEEP | |
2 egg whites Dash of salt 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 2/3 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. almond extract 1 (6 oz.) pkg. miniature chocolate bits 1 c. pecans, chopped Heat oven to 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Beat egg whites until foamy, gradually adding sugar, salt, cream of tartar. Add extracts, continue beating until stiff. Fold in morsels and nuts. Drop by teaspoons on foil lined cookie sheets. Place in oven. Turn off heat. DO NOT open oven doors until next morning. Yield: 3 to 4 dozen. |
