MOCK PEPPER STEAK 
1 lb. hamburger
1 1/2 tsp. oil
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 green pepper, cut into strips

Shape hamburger into 4 patties. Brown in oil in large skillet. Dissolve bouillon cubes in 1 1/2 cups hot water. Add to patties in skillet. Simmer, covered for 1 hour.

Blend cornstarch into 1 cup cold water and soy sauce in bowl. Add to patties in skillet. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add green pepper. Cook covered for 8-10 minutes longer. Serve with rice. Yields 3-4 servings.
