MARINATED COLESLAW 
2 lbs. grated cabbage
1 onion
1/2 to 1 bell pepper
1 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
3/4 c. cooking oil
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed

Slice cabbage, onion and pepper. Put in large plastic container. Cover with sugar and close lid. Bring to boil vinegar, oil, salt and seeds. Let cool. Pour over cabbage. Marinate overnight. Shake well in morning. Drain in colander before serving. Great in summer for cookouts.
