BAKED STEAK 
1 lb. round steak, cut into serving pieces
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Mix salt, pepper and flour. Roll steak pieces in mixture. Cook onions and steak until brown. Put meat in casserole. Add soup and water to skillet. stir until all brown residue from meat is mixed with the liquid. Pour over meat in casserole and cover tightly. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours.
