AU GRATIN POTATOES 
1/2 stick butter
4 tbsp. flour
2 3/4 c. milk
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Dash of garlic powder
4 oz. beer
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Dash of cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
1 sm. onion, diced
4 med. potatoes, boiled, peeled and diced

Melt butter in saucepan. Slowly add flour and blend well. In separate pot, scald milk. Add scalded milk slowly to butter and flour mixture. When sauce thickens add Cheddar cheese and garlic. Blend with wire whip until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. Add beer, Worcestershire and cayenne pepper. Blend well and add salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.

Saute onions and combine with cheese sauce. Drain potatoes and while potatoes are still hot, add to hot cheese sauce and mix. Place in baking pan and top with Parmesan cheese. Place in 350 degree oven until well browned.
