LAYERED SALAD 
1 pkg. frozen peas
2-3 green peppers, chopped
2 red onions, chopped
1 lg. red pepper, chopped
3-4 stalks celery, chopped
1 lb. block mild white Cheddar, grated
2 c. mayonnaise
5 tbsp. sugar
1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled

Serve in a glass bowl. Arrange vegetables in layers in a glass bowl. Mix mayonnaise and sugar; cover vegetables, sealing edges. Cover with grated Cheddar cheese. Just before serving, top with bacon. Salad can be "assembled" a day ahead. Try to cook bacon as close to serving time as possible.

An unusual salad that always gets raves - everyone always thinks the dressing must be much more complicated than just mayonnaise and sugar!
