ADLAI'S FAVORITE CASSEROLE 
6 1/2 tbsp. butter
4 1/2 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. milk
3/4 c. heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Paprika
1 can artichoke hearts, drained
1 lb. shrimp, cooked
1/4 lb. fresh mushroom slices
1/4 c. sherry
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt 4 1/2 tablespoons of the butter and stir in the flour. Gradually add milk and cream, stirring constantly over low heat. When thickened, season with salt and pepper.

Arrange artichokes on bottom of buttered baking dish and scatter shrimp over them. Cook mushrooms in remaining butter and scatter on top. Add sherry and Worcestershire sauce to cream sauce and pour over. Sprinkle in Parmesan cheese and paprika. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Serves 6.
