PUMPKIN COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. unseasoned pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Cream together butter and sugar. Add pumpkin, vanilla, and lemon juice to above and mix. Sift together salt, flour, cinnamon, cloves, baking powder, and soda. Add to above and mix. Soak raisins in hot water, enough to cover raisins. Squeeze water from raisins. Add raisins and nuts to mixture.

Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Ice when cool.

ICING:

1 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. milk

Mix. Ice cake when cool.
