GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
2 eggs, separated
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. liquid butter buds
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. Sweet 'N Low
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. apples, peeled & chopped
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Stir together egg yolks, sugar, butter buds, oil, Sweet 'N Low and vanilla. In large bowl, stir together flour and baking soda. Stir in liquid ingredients. Stir in apples, nuts and cinnamon just until blended. In large bowl, with a mixer at high speed, beat egg white until stiff. Fold into batter. (Batter will be thick.) Spoon into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake 30 minutes.
