LICORICE CARAMELS | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. butter 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup Mix together in heavy saucepan. Cook to 234 degrees, stirring constantly. Test a small amount in cold water to determine hardness desired. Remove from heat. Add 2 teaspoons anise flavoring and 1/2 teaspoon black paste food coloring. Pour into a buttered 9x13 inch pan. Wrap in waxed paper when cool. |
