CARAMEL LAYER BARS 
1 pkg. light caramels (Kraft)
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. Pet milk
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/3 c. Pet milk
1 c. chocolate chips
1 pkg. yellow cake mix

Melt caramels and 1/3 cup Pet milk over low heat or microwave until melted. Set aside.

Grease and flour a 9x13 pan. In large mixing bowl, combine dry cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup Pet milk and walnuts. Mix by hand until dough holds together.

Press half of dough into prepared pan. Reserve remaining dough for topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust. Spread caramel mixture over chocolate chips.

Crumble remaining dough over caramel mixture. Return to oven and bake 15 to 18 minutes. Cool slightly. Refrigerate about 30 minutes to set caramel layer. Cut into bars and serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
