Brisket
Salt
Pepper
Garlic salt
Diced onion
Onion soup mix, make as instructed on box

Season brisket with salt, a lot of pepper and garlic salt. Put in 500 degree oven, brown both sides. Turn down to 250 degrees after 15 minutes. Add some onion and pour some of the onion soup mix over until 1 inch deep.

Cover with foil. Every so often put more warm soup on brisket to keep moist. Cook 5 to 6 hours. Slice very thin against grain.
